Words don’t teach; life experience teaches.
Abraham (Esther) Hicks
Which begs the question, if words don’t teach, then why write? For that matter, why read?
Welcome to the revamped about page here at
Ripples of Insight, a.k.a. Judah First.
I write – and read – because words have the power to inspire. Words can redirect our attention toward new experiences, which is where the real learning takes place. According to Dr. Joe Dispenza,
Where you place your attention is where you place your energy.
Focused attention then, energizes us to act, and by our actions we gain experience. Because people really do learn by doing. This life may not be a dress rehearsal, but trial and error (sometimes even failure) are prerequisites to success.
Becoming Supernatural
In his new book, “Becoming Supernatural”, Dr. Joe teaches that observation is the gateway to creation. A focused search for the unknown can transform waves of potential into particle, bringing what we could only dream about before right into our physical reality now.
Just like every other average Westerner, I spend a lot of my time surfing the web for information. I research everything from customer reviews of local restaurants to alternatives for conventional medical treatments. Google may not have actually made me smarter, but it has opened doors to knowledge, inspiration, and the impetus to action which I never imagined possible. Here at Ripples of Insight, it is my desire to share what I have gleaned with you so that you may be empowered to lead a life of both freedom and fullness.
I hope you enjoy perusing the site. If you receive inspiration from anything here, please consider supporting my efforts by visiting regularly and by subscribing. I love a great conversation and welcome your comments. Be aware that personal attacks directed towards me or any of my readers will be deleted. And please do me the courtesy of acknowledging the source if you wish to copy any of my work.

Thanks for stopping by, Joanne! Nice to meet you as well. 🙂
P.S. I am SO glad I make you laugh – laughter is good medicine, and something I cannot live without. Always a pleasure to give it away. 😀 Too bad my blog posts tend not to be as funny as my one-liner comments. Oh, well, not everyone can be a Maineiac, Covered in Beer, or a Byronic Man (my personal favorites when it comes to hilarious blogs)!
