My journey through the Psalms of Ascent…
From 2009-2011 I was stuck … I couldn’t seem to get out of the Psalms of Ascent. You know the ones. They’re found near the end of the Book of Psalms. They were traditionally sung as Israelite pilgrims traveled up to Jerusalem for the various feasts.
Well, in the beginning of 2009 something happened in my life that left me in the valley. For a long time I’ve been making my way up – Biblically one always travels up the Mount of Jerusalem into the presence of God.
The result of this journey has been an ongoing study of these Psalms and what I have gleaned from them. It’s been slow going, but then, climbing a mountain can be a tricky business sometimes. I hope you’ll walk with me for awhile.
Here’s how this is going to work:
I’m going to look at Psalms 120-134 in order. Each will occupy its own page and have its own title. I will type out the Psalm (without verse numbers) at the top of the post. I always use the New American Standard version of the Bible for study purposes. If I quote from any other it will be noted. Let’s get climbing!
Hi,
I am confused here, with Tarot reading and Bible. Are you a Christian or what?

Hi, Eni!
Thank you so much for reading and for your insightful question.
The Bible and reading Tarot … It makes me smile when people assume that one precludes the other.
I spent about 30 years attending church, and for many years, my blog was centered on Christianity. Now I have taken what was good from that paradigm and carried it forward on my spiritual journey. I no longer hold to the prescribed belief system of any religion.
Peace to you on your journey,
-C
